Module II: Welfare Reforms
Module III: Trust in Institutions
In today's political climate
politicians and legislators are well aware of market
research and often amend their campaign platforms to align with public opinion. Pragmatic
studies of public opinion are replacing traditional political ideology as a driving force behind
public policy.
JIMS is pleased to announce
the launching of the first comprehensive multi-year
panel survey of Israeli public opinion, called The Israel Panel Study of Opinion Dynamics
(IPSOD). IPSOD questions individuals about their economic, political and social attitudes.
We elicit responses on attitudes towards: tax reform, welfare reform, income inequality,
income redistribution, charitable giving, immigration, cronyism, public sector corruption,
conscription vs. a volunteer army, and the importance of religion in influencing individual
behavior.
IPSOD is a unique public opinion survey
because it follows the same families
over time, allowing us to analyze the dynamics of public opinion change. Extensive
consultation on IPSOD's coverage and content is underway, to ensure that the study meets
the current and future needs of the user community - data analysts, researchers in
universities, think tanks and government. Please contact us for further information about
IPSOD, or to contribute to the consultation.
